First Appointment

At the initial appointment, you will complete the intake paperwork and meet with the therapist. Please try to arrive 5-10 minutes early to complete paperwork (if you did not download and complete the paperwork below). The therapist will introduce himself to you, and begin by asking you a series of questions to better understand the situation, problem, or issue. Please bring any relevant information (medications, hospital notes, previous therapist notes, etc.) that you feel may assist the therapist with your situation.

When children or adolescents are being seen by the therapist, a parent will accompany the child into the appointment, and will remain for most, if not all of the initial appointment. For subsequent appointments, the parent will still accompany the child into the appointment, but will remain for approximately 10 minutes to provide the therapist with any updates.

The initial appointment usually takes approximately 1 hour. Subsequent appointments will take approximately 50 minutes, though some will use the entire hour.
